DiPetrillo Tied For Third At Boston College Intercollegiate

Canton, Mass. -- Senior Sophie DiPetrillo fired an even-par 72 Monday afternoon at the Boston College Intercollegiate, vaulting 21 spots up the leaderboard and leaving her in a four-way tie for third place entering Tuesday's final round.Â
DiPetrillo, who finished 10th in this event last year, carded three birdies with a bogey and double bogey en route to a 72, tied for the lowest of second-round score of any golfer in the field of 89. DiPetrillo stands at five-over par (149), five shots behind leader Jodee Tindal of the College of Charleston. DiPetrillo could secure a second straight top-three finish to open the season on Tuesday, two weeks after finishing third at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.
As a team, the Spiders are tied for ninth with a combined score of 49-over par after shooting 315 (+27) in round one and 310 (+22) in round two on Monday. Host Boston College and Western Kentucky are tied for the lead at 31-over par.Â
Due to Tuesday's forecast, the final round will begin at 9:15 AM and utilize a shotgun start, with the field teeing off simultaneously on each of the 18 holes.Â
