UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's lacrosse team is back on campus and prepping for a chance to repeat as Atlantic 10 Champions.
Â
In preparation for spring play, head coach Allison Kwolek has announced the team's fall tournament schedule.
"We are eager to get our fall competitions started and to pick up where we left off last season," Kwolek said. "The fall gives us the opportunity to prepare for the season ahead with our new roster."
Â
The Spiders open fall action on Wednesday, October 3, when they make the short trip to Charlottesville to face off with in-state rival and lacrosse power Virginia at 7 p.m.
Â
Three days later on October 6, Richmond travels to Williamsburg for the William & Mary Fall Playday, where they will face the Tribe, along with Old Dominion and VCU. After a weekend off, the Spiders will head to Fairfax for a Laxapalooza tournament on October 20. Hosted by George Mason, this tournament will see the Spiders face conference foes George Washington and VCU, as well as Longwood.
Â
Richmond will wrap up fall tournament play on Saturday, October 27, when the team heads out of state for the Duke Playday. The Spiders will start the day with a game against the host Blue Devils before taking on High Point and East Carolina to round out fall play.
