Three Spiders Earn Atlantic 10 All Rookie Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The league office announced its Academic All-Conference and All-Rookie honors Thursday morning and three Spider freshmen earned a spot on the Women's Cross Country All-Rookie Team. Freshmen Kate Dickow (Lititz, Pa.), Lily Snow (Richmond, Va.) and Anna George (Montville, N.J.) were all named to the seven-member rookie team.
Dickow was consistently the Spiders top finisher throughout the fall season. The freshman earned the Spiders' top finish in five out of six races this season, culminating in a 16th place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships in early November. She added top three finishes after winning the Spider Invitational, placing third at the Mason Invitational and a second-place time at the Great American Cross Country Fest.
Snow added two top 10 finishes during the season and finished in the top 26 of runners in five of six races. Her best finish came in the opener at the Spider Invitational, finishing the two-mile race in 11:16.9, good for third place. She added a 20th place finish at the A-10 Championships with a 5k time of 18:49.6.
George was very consistent in her rookie season. She ran in five races, earning four finishes in the top 28 of all runners. She earned a sixth-place finish in her first collegiate event with a two-mile time of 11:31.7. She earned a 28th place finish at the A-10 Championships, turning in a 5k-time of 19:00.2.
