
Spiders Show Improvement In Third Round At Kiawah

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The Richmond Spiders combined for a score of 307 (+19) in the third round of the Kiawah Island Spring Classic, 10 shots better than their Monday result on the narrow Oak Point Course. Richmond finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 933 (+69), 37th among the 49 teams in the field.Â
Richmond was led by Annie Collom's one-over 73 on Tuesday, as the senior posted three birdies to go with four bogeys. Collom finished the event with a score of 225 (+9), tied for 65th in the field of 254 individual golfers.
Sophomore Lizzie Reedy shot 75 (+3) on Tuesday, the best of her three rounds at the event, and finished tied for 107th at 229 (+13). Reedy played the par threes in one-under in Kiawah, tied for fourth best in the field. Freshman Naomi Mitchell improved four shots on her Monday score with a five-over 77 on Tuesday and finished the tournament in a tie for 120th at 231 (+15).Â
