Teddy Hatfield Drafted By The Dallas Rattlers In 2019 MLL Draft

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond men's lacrosse senior attack Teddy Hatfield (Summit, N.J.) was one of four players from the Southern Conference selected in the 2019 Major League Lacrosse draft this past weekend. Hatfield was the 31st pick overall by the Dallas Rattlers, taken with the fourth selection in the fourth round.
Hatfield is a two-time All-SoCon selection and is on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List this year as a senior. He became Richmond's all-time leading goal scorer just last week, notching his 100th career goal against Mount St. Mary's before adding to his career total with five Saturday in the league opener against VMI.
Hatfield is the conference's all-time leader in career goals with 105, assists with 79 and with 184 points in just 55 career games.
He earned First Team All-SoCon honors last when he led the team in scoring with 59 points, recording a team-high 34 goals and dishing out 25 assists.
Hatfield has been strong to start the 2019 season, leading the Spiders in scoring with 33 points in the first seven games, ranking second in the league. He is second on the team with 19 goals while leading the team with 14 assists. Hatfield and the Spiders return to action this weekend, hosting Furman in SoCon action. Face-off is set for 1 p.m. at Robins Stadium.
