Gouger Finishes Competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Junior Hannah Gouger (Cockeysville, Md.) finished competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Texas, Saturday morning. Gouger was among 55 swimmers that competed in the 200-yard backstroke at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Gouger finished the preliminary competition in 42nd, turning in a time of 1:55.72. She was one of just four competitors from non-Power 5 schools, joining swimmers from Hawai'I, Harvard, UC Davis and Boise State in the pool. Gouger finishes the 2019 season as the school and Atlantic 10 Conference record holder in the 200-yard backstroke. She is one of just seven Spiders who have qualified and competed at the National Championships meet.
