Spiders In Fifth Through Two Rounds At Babs Steffens Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Spiders received contributions from all five of their golfers IN Sunday's first two rounds at the Babs Steffens Invitational and are in fifth place in the 12-team field with a score of 619 (+43).
Richmond was also in fifth at the end of Sunday morning's first round after freshman Emily Ward carded a team-best two-over 74, best among five rounds in the 70s from the Spiders on Sunday morning. Senior Annie Collom led UR with a three-over 75 in Sunday afternoon's second round, moving 10 spots up the individual leaderboard to a tie for 16th after 36 holes. Sophomore Lizzie Reedy is tied for 19th, one shot behind Collom, while freshman Naomi Mitchell is tied for 23rd at 157 (+13), two shots behind Reedy.Â
"Everyone contributed today," said coach Ali Wright. "The pieces feel like they are coming together and we're looking forward to having a good day tomorrow."Â
Monday's third and final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:45 AM.Â
