Spring Football Game To Feature Brews Event, Bark In The Park and Sweet Frog Family Fun Zone Activities Saturday

The Spider football team will take the field in the annual spring football game inside Robins Stadium, Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. Admission to the Spring Game is FREE for all! The athletics department is excited to announce several fun activities and promotions for the event:

Spring Football and Brews – One of our favorite events is back to kick-off the spring! This RVA craft brew tasting showcase will be located in Lot C70 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and will feature several local craft beer offerings and food options. Recognized as one of the most fun and affordable events in the area, admission is just $10 for unlimited beer tastings, while some food vendors may require an additional cost. Bark in the Park – Bring your dog with you to Robins Stadium to watch the Spider football team in action! Dogs will be welcome in sections 101 and 102 on the west side of the stadium. All dog owners must sign a liability waiver upon entry at the customer service table.
Tailgating – Lots will open at 11:00 a.m. for fans wishing to enjoy the expected warm April weather by tailgating with their Spider friends. Parking is free for all fans, but tailgating passes are required to enter the C70 ABC-licensed lot. Fans can pick up their tailgating passes at the Robins Center Ticket Office from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. beginning April 1^st. The passes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Spiders Spring Equipment Sale – The official athletics department equipment sale will make its return to the spring football game for the fourth season! Fans may purchase game-used (or in some cases, new) surplus equipment from the Richmond Spiders athletic teams. Items will include jerseys, apparel, shoes, cleats, and other memorabilia. Season ticket holders who have renewed for the 2019 season will be able to access the equipment sale beginning at 11:30 a.m., and the general public will be able to access the sale beginning at 12 p.m.
Launch of the 2019-20 Spiderlings Kids Club – The Spring game will kick off the official launch of the 2019-20 Spiderlings Kids Club, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings! It'll be the first chance to register kids for next season, with benefits that include free admission to select football and basketball games, access to exclusive events, a free t-shirt and much more! Family Fun Zone – Lessing Plaza will be packed with Family Fun Zone activities, including a bounce house, face painting and the Bach 2 Rock Musical Zoo!
Candy Dash – Kids attending the game will be invited down onto the field for the Candy Dash! Candy will be spread across the field and kids can run the gridiron to collect as much as possible!
Post-Game Autographs & Photos – Be sure to stick around following the conclusion of the spring game as some of our Spiders Football players will be available to sign autographs and take some pictures on the field!
Ticketing Customer Service – Fans that desire assistance scouting possible season ticket locations for the 2019 season may schedule an appointment with a member of the ticket office staff to review possible options while attending the spring football game. 2019 Posters – Posters for the 2019 season will make their debut at the spring football game, so make sure to stop by Lessing Plaza to grab your poster!

A reminder to season ticket holders that the renewal deadline to keep your existing seats is Friday, May 3^rd. Season ticket holders that wish to change seat locations or add additional seats should still renew their current seats, but indicate their change preference during the purchase. A ticket office representative will contact you to service your request after the deadline.

Prospective new season ticket holders are encouraged to place a deposit on 2019 season tickets now, and seat locations will be allocated following the season ticket holder renewal period. New season ticket holders will be called to pick their seats in the order in which they purchase, so all new season ticket holders are encouraged to purchase as soon as possible to reserve the best available seat locations.
