GREENVILLE, S.C. – Sophomore Naomi Mitchell tied the lowest round of her Spiders career with an even-par 72 in Saturday's second round and is tied for 10th on the individual leaderboard with 18 holes to play at the Lady Paladin Invitational.
One day after making double bogey on the par-four 18th hole, Mitchell made birdie on Saturday to match the 72 (E) she fired in the opening round of last October's stroke-play event against Columbia for the best round of her collegiate career. Mitchell will enter Sunday's final round six shots back of leader Lorena Tseng of Tulsa and only three shots out of second place in the field of 90.
The Spiders lineup will begin teeing off at 9:00 AM on the 10th hole Sunday morning.
