Women’s Track and Field Heads to PSU National Open

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's track and field team is traveling to University Park, Pa., to compete in the PSU National Open, hosted Penn State at the Ashenfelter III Indoor Track Friday and Saturday. Live results and live stream for the event are available at www.richmondspiders.com.
The Spiders are set to travel 15 student-athletes to the competition. Freshman Morgan Crocker (Richmond, Va.) looks to improve on her first-place distance of 5.61 meters in the long jump at the George Mason Patriot Games last weekend.
Freshman Anna George (Montville, N.J.) is set to run in the mile competition along with fellow distance runner junior Caroline Robelen (Glen Allen, Va.). George won the mile at the VMI Keydet Invitational (1/17) with a time of 5:04.04 while Robelen will compete in her first mile competition of the 2020 season.
Sophomore Kendra Smither (Richmond, Va.) will compete in the 1,000-meters run and Invite DMR – 800-meters. Smither turned in a personal record of 2:57.68 last weekend in the 1,000-meters at the Patriot Games.
Freshman Kamryn Ross (Richmond, Va.) will toe the starting line in the 60-meter hurdles and 300-meter dash. At the VMI Keydet Invitational, she set a personal record of 8.98 in the 60-meter hurdles, while this will be her first collegiate 300-meters competition.
