Women’s Track & Field Wraps Up Camel City Invitational

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The University of Richmond women's track and field team closed out the Camel City Invitational collecting three top-4 finishes Saturday at JDL Fast Track.

In the 60-meter dash, senior Nai'lah Rowe (Norfolk, Va.) finished fourth with a time of 8.12.

Sophomore Rachel Helbling (McDonald, Pa.) posted a time of 57.15 in the 400-meter dash, collecting a third-place finish.

The Distance Medley Relay team posted a fourth-place time of 12:23.12. Freshman Kate McAndrew (Denville, N.J.) led off with a 1200-meter time of 3:40.81 before handing the baton off to fellow freshman Maddie Orr (Rumson, N.J.). In the 400-meter leg, Orr turned in a time of 1:00.82. In the third leg, the 800-meter portion, freshman Kayla O'Connell (Marshfield, Mass.) finished with a time of 2:21.32. Sophomore Kendra Smither (Richmond, Va.) ran the 1,600-meter anchor leg with a time of 5:20.12.

Junior Brooke Fazio (Basking Ridge, N.J.) posted a time of 2:08.77 in the Elite 800-meter race.

The Spiders return to action next weekend at the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston, Mass., and at the VMI Indoor Classic in Lexington, Va.
