UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- With a start date to the 2020-21 basketball season now on the calendar, Andy Katz of NCAA.com released his latest Power 36 rankings on Tuesday, placing the Spiders 25th in the nation. Katz, who called Richmond "the team to beat in the A-10," also had the Spiders 25th in the last version of his 2020-21 rankings in April.
With all five starters returning from last year's 24-7 team, the Spiders have also received preseason top-25 rankings from several media outlets, among them Stadium (#14), Blue Ribbon College Basketball (#22), NBC Sports (#24), and The Mercury News (+13).Â
Saint Louis (#36) was the only other A-10 team in the rankings, with Dayton listed by Katz as one of his teams under consideration.Â
