Borger Earns Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference honored its Performers of the Week for cross country earlier today. Among the four honorees was Richmond's Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa.) who earned the male Performer of the Week award. This is his second weekly award of the season, and third of his career.
Borger finished as the top Atlantic 10 member at the Paul Short Run last weekend. He finished the 8-kilometer race in a career best 23:52.7. His finish was good for 20th overall in the field of over 350 runners. He led the Spiders to a 28th place finish as a team, and finished nearly 10 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor from the Atlantic 10.
Borger and the Spiders are back in action on the 15th as they head to Tallahassee for Pre-Nationals, hosted by Florida State University.
