Spiders Wrap Up Fall Season with Strong Outing at Wake Forest Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team concluded the fall season this weekend at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational, and the Spiders' weekend was highlighted by Sebastian Miano and Daniel Kliebhan in singles play and the team of Kliebhan/John Walsh in doubles.
Sebastian Miano dominated his way through the East stage in B3 singles. He defeated Davidson's Jerry Wang 6-1, 6-3 in the round of 16 before defeating Georgia Southern's Jaap Aaldering 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals. He then took down Campbell's Ted Williams 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the finals where he defeated Campbell's Gustavs Lukstins 6-1, 6-2.
Daniel Kliebhan won the West stage in B1 singles as he defeated Juan Camilo Gongora 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinals before defeating Uddayvir Singh (6-3, 4-6, 6-2) in the semis to advance to the championship match where he defeated Davidson's Alejandro Solares 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, the team of John Walsh and Daniel Kliebhan finished as the runner-up in the East stage of C doubles after defeating Davidson's Sam Kavarana/William Clark in the semifinals.
The doubles team of Campbell Erwin/Alex Wernink picked up a win in B doubles against the team of Juan Camilo Gongora/Nicolas Pinzon, 6-2.
