12/15/2021 | Women's Basketball
RICHMOND, Va. – Former University of Richmond women's basketball player Amber Nichols has been named to the annual Forbes 30 Under 30 list, as announced by the organization earlier this month.
Nichols, 29, is the second woman to be named a general manager in the NBA's G League, ascending to the post with the Capital City Go-Go in January. She oversees all of the team's basketball operations, including personnel moves and player development programs, and also serves in a scouting role for the Go-Go's parent club, the Washington Wizards.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 list commends young professionals annually in categories ranging from sports to education to finance to art and style.
Nichols played four years of college basketball at the University of Richmond, where she received her bachelor's degree in sociology, before continuing her education at the University of Georgia, where she received her master's in kinesiology with a concentration in sport management and policy.
