Swimming and Diving Announces its Spring Season

RICHMOND, Va. – Head coach Matt Barany and his staff have announced six competitions during the spring semester, leading up to the Atlantic 10 Championships April 14-17 in Geneva, Ohio. The Spiders will compete in three events in both February and March prior to the A-10 meet.
The season begins February 20th as the Spiders will head to George Mason for an invitational, hosted by the Patriots. The divers will begin their season at James Madison on Saturday, February 27th competing in the Duke Dog Diving Invitational. The swimmers will close out the month on Sunday, competing in the UNC Last Chance meet in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The March schedule will see the swimmers and divers compete in three events. Beginning on the 6th, the team will head back to Harrisonburg for a meet with the Dukes. The Spiders are back at George Mason March 19th and 20th before closing the season with a meet at Villanova on the 26th.
The Atlantic 10 Championships are back at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio April 14-17. It is the eighth-consecutive season that the Conference Championship will be held at the SPIRE Institute.
