WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Richmond Spiders men's golf team combined for a 1-over 281 in Round 2 of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate Monday afternoon, shooting up the leaderboard into third place entering Tuesday's final round. Richmond will enter Tuesday's final round one shot behind Old Dominion (577) and four shots behind VCU (574), but Spiders coach Adam Decker insists that the Spiders won't be impacted by their position on the leaderboard.
"We're going to stick to our plan for the course and we're not going to get caught up in what anybody else is doing," said Decker. "We're in a nice spot and have nothing to lose. The guys are prepared and looking forward to being in contention."
The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:45 AM on Tuesday.
