Women’s Track Heads to Mason Spring Invitational Sunday

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's track and field team will compete in the George Mason Spring Invitational Sunday at George Mason Stadium.
The Spiders will send 16 to Fairfax to compete against Atlantic 10 schools, including VCU, Davidson, Duquesne and host George Mason, as well as teams from the Big12, CAA, and Big East.
Six Spiders are set to compete in multiple events at Mason. Tamar Accius (Jacksonville, Fla.) will line up for the 100m dash and 200m dash, while Tania Mathews (North Chesterfield, Va.) and Kamryn Ross (Richmond, Va.) will compete in the 100m hurdles and 100m dash. Maddie Orr (Rumson, N.J.) will race in the 200m and 400m events, as Grace Mittl (Bethlehem, Pa.) will also compete in the 200m and the long jump. Morgan Crocker (Richmond, Va.) will jump in both the Long and Triple Jump competitions.
Joining Crocker and Mittl in the long jump is both Rebekah Greene (Henrico, Va.) and Kayla Woods (Wilmington, Del.).
Richmond will be represented in the 1500m by Caroline Robelen (Glen Allen, Va.), Elizabeth Stockman (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Madison Trippett (Parkersburg, W.Va.). Sallie Cook (Winston-Salem, N.C.) will compete in the 800m.
Amaya Jackson (Richmond, Va.) and Gabrielle Beneducci (Hampton, N.J.) will both compete in the 400m hurdles while, Oona Elovaara (Richmond, Va.) and Zenia Vrakas (Pefka, Thessaloniki, Greece) will line up for the 100m hurdles.
Richmond men's cross country will send 12 as well to compete in Fairfax. Jake Schindel (Richmond, Va.) and William Tune (Richmond, Va.) will race in the 800m while Jordan Bendura (Glen Allen, Va.), Noah Campbell (Montpelier, Va.) and Patrick Sutphin (Mechanicsville, Va.) will compete in the 5K.
Spiders lining up for the 1500m will be Trey Burleson (Moseley), Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa), Tanner Crochet (Monmouth, N.J.), Sean Doolan (Loudonville, Ky.), Robert Gunia (Fredericksburg, Va.), Jimmy Quinn (Nutley, N.J.) and Noah Yuro (Howell, N.J.).
