Women’s Soccer Partners with NWSL Club Washington Spirit

RICHMOND, Va. –The University of Richmond women's soccer team has announced a partnership with the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) for the upcoming 2021 season.
"I'm very excited about this partnership with the Washington Spirit," head coach Marty Beall said. "Our values align with their desire to grow the game and this is a fantastic opportunity that we couldn't pass up on."
The Spiders will take part in the Spirit's Alliance Partnership program. This program was launched in 2020 to create opportunities for teams at the club, youth and collegiate levels to connect and learn with the coaches and players of the Spirit. The Richmond Spiders will receive educationally opportunities in attending ADP training session, allowed to watch three Washington Spirit first team training sessions and Matchday recognition on the video board during a regular or post-season match.
Some of the collegiate programs that have already joined the partnership are Marymount, Catholic University, George Mason, Georgetown, Longwood, Mount St. Mary's and UMBC.
