Spiders to honor Grant Golden Saturday vs VCU

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Richmond Spiders men's basketball team will recognize Grant Golden for reaching 2,000 career points in a ceremony Saturday at the Robins Center prior to Richmond's game vs VCU.

Golden, who became the fourth Spider to score 2,000 points on January 18 at Fordham, will also be honored throughout the evening with a mixture of career highlights, trivia, games, and more as part of the program's Super Senior Nights, a series of games recognizing each of the four active Spiders who have scored 1,000 or more points.

Nick Sherod was honored at the Spiders game vs Davidson on January 14. Nathan Cayo will be recognized throughout Richmond's game vs St. Bonaventure on February 4, and Jacob Gilyard will be recognized vs La Salle on February 12.

Saturday's game is part of the Richmond Area Honda Dealers Capital City Classic. Tip time will be at 4 PM and the game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
