Arden Tierney Named A-10 Lacrosse Player of the Week

Newport News, Va.⁠— Arden Tierney has been named this week's Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.

Tierney helped the Spiders open conference play with two wins over the weekend. She scored two goals and dished two assists in Richmond's 14-8 victory over La Salle Fridaywhle also scooping two ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers. On Sunday she recorded her fourth hat trick of the season, had an assist and totaled 11 draw controls as the Spiders took down George Washington, 12-7.

The junior ranks 19th in the NCAA in both assists per game (2.00) and total assists (20), while the Spiders rank fifth in the nation in assists per game (8.30), 16th in points per game (22.10) and 20th in scoring margin (4.10).

Richmond returns home to Robins Stadium for a pair of weekend games, playing host to Duquesne on Friday and Saint Joseph's on Sunday. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. for both games.
