Galvin, Quinn Take Home A-10 Weekly Honors

Richmond, Va.— After helping push Richmond to 5-0 on the season with a 12-4 win over Coastal Carolina on Friday, Richmond women's lacrosse's Delaney Galvin has been named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, while Colleen Quinn has been named the conference's Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday.
Galvin adds her second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season after the graduate student recorded 11 saves on four goals allowed while shutting out Coastal Carolina in the second half to keep the Spiders' record spotless.
Quinn takes home her first Rookie of the Week award after the freshman recorded three goals and an assist while scooping three ground balls to help the Spiders pass the Chanticleers.
Richmond takes on #14/15 Virginia on the road tomorrow. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. in Charlottesville.
