Women’s Lacrosse Ranked No. 23 in IWLCA and ILWomen Polls

RICHMOND, Va. – The Inside Lacrosse Kane Women's Division I Media Poll (ILWomen) and Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its Week 9 rankings, with Richmond coming in at No. 23.

The Spiders hold an 10-2 record this season, including an undefeated 6-0 mark in Atlantic 10 play. The team's only losses came against ranked opponents, falling by one goal to then-No. 24 Penn State, 10-9, and then-No. 23 Duke, 15-14, in overtime.

Last week, No. 23 Richmond defeated receiving votes, South Florida 15-14 on Monday. On Saturday the Spiders delivered a dominant 20-2 win over La Salle on Saturday afternoon, marking its largest margin of victory this season and extending its winning streak to eight games.

Richmond is the only Atlantic 10 program to appear in the poll this season.

The Spiders return to action Saturday, April 11, against George Washington at Robins Stadium.
