BALTIMORE— Brittney Wright adds yet another postseason accolade to her resume, this time being named an Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention, as announced by the publication Monday.
Richmond's defensive leader ended her final season with 15 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers as she locked in on opponents' offensive leaders.
She held Stanford's Ashley Humphrey to a season-low two assists to help the Spiders upset the #16 Cardinal at Robins Stadium. Humphrey would go on to lead the NCAA in assists per game with 4.63. Wright also held Saint Joseph's Lauren Figura to three points (2 goals, 1 assist) on six shots. Figura led the A-10 in goals per game (3.43), points per game (4.14) and shots per game (6.71).
The Moorestown, N.J. native led Richmond to a 14-4 record and the 13th nationally-ranked scoring defense.
