Cross Country Set for Navy Invitational

Richmond, Va. — Richmond harriers will make the trip up to Annapolis for the Navy Invitational Friday night. The open 5K race is set for 5:15 p.m., the women's varsity 6K is at 6:00 and the men's varsity 4.9 mile race goes off at 6:30 p.m.

Last time out at the Spider Alumni Open, the Spider men and women both took third, trailing only Georgetown and Virginia.

Peter Borger finished fourth with a time of 17:36.8. Right behind him was Stuart Terrill in fifth coming in at 17:43.0. Jimmy Quinn was the next Spider to cross the finish line, placing 15^th with a time of 18:24.0. Rounding out the top five for Richmond was Jordan Bendura in 22^nd place at 18:45.0 and Evan Leach in 27^th place at 18:51.0.

On the women's side, the Spiders were led by Elizabeth Stockman who finished 10^th at 13:47.6. Madison Trippett followed right behind her coming in 11^th place with a time of 13:48.8. Laurel Kurtz and Isabel Blaylock each finished in the top 20, coming in 16^th at 13:59.0 and 19^th at 14:04.3, respectively. Anna George rounded out the top five for the Spiders with a 23^rd place finish at 14:14.1.

the Navy Invitational comes two weeks to the day before the largest meet of the Spiders' 2022 schedule— Lehigh's coveted Paul Short Run.
