Trippett Named A-10 XC Performer of the Week

Newport News, Va. — Madison Trippett has been named the Atlantic 10 women's cross country performer of the week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.
The junior and Parkersburg, W.Va. native finished third overall with a PR 6K time of 21:49.0 at Friday's Navy Invitational to help lead the Spiders to a second place finish as a team.
The honor comes as the first of the year on the women's side and second of the season for the Spiders after Peter Borger was named the season's first male Performer of the Week.
Trppett and the Spiders are set for next weekends Paul Short run hosted by Lehigh on Friday, Sept. 30.
