Women's Track & Field Completes Successful Weekend at George Mason

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond Track and Field team competed in the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va. on Friday and Saturday with many successful results coming from their travels.Â
Elizabeth Stockman (17:12.43) and Anna George (18:09.76) started the competition off strong for the Spiders taking first and fifth place in the 5k. Stockman edged out her competitors by 26 seconds to grab the win. George's mark was a 46 second personal best.Â
The Spiders saw great success in the distance medley relay as they took first and second place with two separate groups. Lindsay Colflesh, Virginia Beringer, Dylan Miller and Laurel Kurtz claimed the win (12:18.48)Â seven seconds before Caroline Donohoe, Aylin Bruce, Maddie Orr and Allison Colflesh arrived to take second (12:25.46). The second place winners beat out all other competitors by more than twelve seconds.
Kamryn Ross had an incredible performance in the 60H taking first place in the finals with a time of 8.83, a best for Ross in 2023.Â
Lindsay Colflesh took a big first place victory in the 800m on Saturday with a new indoor personal best of 2:16.82. Morgan Lyons claimed fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:21.15, her personal best for indoor collegiate competition.Â
Kamryn Ross returned for the 200m on Saturday evening and was able to take the win with a new flat-track personal best of 25.32, besting her mark of 25.41 from the A-10 Championships in February of 2022. Nina Lavelle fought hard for fourth in the 200m finishing at 26.08.Â
The team returns Feb. 3-4 when it travels to New York to compete in the Scarlet Knights Open, hosted by Rutgers.Â
