Field Hockey Wraps up 2023 Season Against William & Mary

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Field Hockey team closed out the 2023 season with a 3-0 loss to William & Mary Sunday afternoon at Crenshaw Field.
Richmond finishes the year 8-11 and 2-5 in Atlantic 10 Conference action, missing out on post-season action.
The Spiders dominated possession in the first half, firing off eight shots and collecting three penalty corners but the Tribe defense didn't let any through. UR held W&M to just five shots in the first half and two corners.
William & Mary jumped on the scoreboard in the 40th minute after scoring on a penalty corner. The Tribe added a second goal in the third period and an insurance goal in the 59th minute.
Spider goalkeeper Kristen Rake tallied three saves to finish with 74 on the year while Kaitlyn Csensits picked up her third defensive save of the season.
