RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Women's Tennis team fought hard, but narrowly fell 5-2 against the University of the Pacific Tuesday afternoon at home. With the loss, the Spiders fell to 4-10 on the year while the Tigers improved to 4-2.

In doubles, Andrea Campodonico/ Elizabeth Novak fell in a physical battle, 6-3, on court one while Marta Buendia and Claire Le Du dropped their match, 6-4, on court two.

In singles action, Novak and Buendia collected the two victories for the Spiders as Novak defeated Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle (UP) 7-5, 6-3 on court four and Buendia defeated Danielle Zamora (UP) 6-3, 7-6 on court five.

The Spiders will look to bounce back and open Atlantic 10 action on Saturday, playing host to VCU at 11 a.m.
