Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Richmond Track and Field program wrapped up their weekend at the 2023 Penn Relays as a few members of the team stamped their name into the Richmond history books.

The squad of Kyra Keurentjes (2:05.74), Kayla O'Connell (2:09.74), Kate McAndrew (2:09.71) and Caroline Donohoe placed sixth in the Championship of America 4x800m. Their mark of 8:38.27 accounts for the second highest time for the event in Richmond program history.

Madison Trippett (1600m), Elke van Der Westhuizen (400m), Kayla O'Connell (800m) and Kyra Keurentjes (1200m) finished in twelfth place as they competed in the Championship of America Distance Medley Relay, running a 11:25.13.

Up next, the Spiders will finalize their season at the 2023 Outdoor Atlantic 10 Championships in Amherst, Mass., which will be hosted by UMass.
