O'Neil Named A-10 Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for Third Time This Season

Richmond, Va. — University of Richmond Men's Lacrosse freshman Aidan O'Neil has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
The Centerville, Mass native recorded his third five-point game of the season when he scored three goals and dished out two assists in Richmond's dominant 26-10 win in the regular season finale Saturday. O'Neil also scooped three ground balls and notched his first career caused turnover in the win.
O'Neil has started and scored in all 13 games during his freshman campaign and leads all Atlantic 10 freshman with 34 points, while ranking 12th in the conference with 2.42 points per game.
Up next, O'Neil and the rest of the No. 2-seeded Spiders take on third seed UMass Thursday night for in the inaugural Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Championship semifinals at 8:00 at Robins Stadium. The winner of Thursday's semifinal games wil battle for the A-10 title Saturday at noon.
