Five Spiders Earn All-State Honors

Richmond, Va. - Following a 2023 Atlantic 10 title season and NCAA Tournament appearance, the Richmond women's lacrosse program continues to collect honors as five Spiders earned spots on the VaSID All-State team. The association of Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) released the lists on Monday, representing the best players in Division I programs through the state of Virginia.Â
Lindsey Frank and Sophia DiCenso were named as First Team selections with Maggie O'Brien, Arden Tierney, and Hannah Custer earning spots on the Second Team.Â
Head coach Anne Harrington spoke proudly on the honors, "The state of Virginia has some of the best lacrosse players in the country. It is an incredible accomplishment to have five spiders represented. I am so proud of the work these individuals and their teammates have put in to earn this recognition. Congratulations to all the honorees".

- Heavily aided in the draw with 44 draw controls

- Played a large part in the win against UMass in the A-10 Championship game with 3 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers and 5 draw controls (5/7/23)
- Played and started in all 21 games as a sophomore
- Accounted for 36 ground balls, 14 draw controls, 20 caused turnovers, 4 goals and 5 assists

- Scooped three ground balls, forced one caused turnover and found 2 draw controls in the win over No. 7 UVA (3/15/23)
