Spiders Wrap Up Successful Weekend at VMI Invitational and Patriot Games

Lexington, Va. – The University of Richmond track & field program closed their weekend with a strong second day at the VMI Invitational on Saturday. The day was highlighted by Alicia Dawson's performance in the triple jump where the graduate student took the 1st place finish with a new personal best.
Alicia Dawson capped off her already successful week with the 1st place victory in the triple jump as she finished with a 12.48 measurement. She now holds the No. 2 all-time mark for the event in Richmond program history. Her 12.48 jump is ranked No. 1 in the Atlantic 10 conference and No. 12 in the ECAC.
The Spiders dominated the 400m as they took the top three finishes in the event. Nina Lavelle took the 1stplace win with a personal best of 57.43. Virginia Beringer followed close by, taking the 2nd place finish at 57.48. Caroline Donohoe was next to cross the finish line in 3rd place with a mark of 57.65.
The 800m added another strong event to Richmond's final results. Lindsay Colflesh crossed the finish line at 2:16.55, winning the event. Dylan Miller grabbed 2nd place soon after at 2:17.60. The Spiders then took 4th-6thplace, totaling five top-10 performances in the event:

Up next, the Spiders will travel to Piscataway, NJ to compete at the Scarlet Knight Open hosted by Rutgers.
