Madonna Named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention

Richond, Va. — University of Richmond men's lacrosse senior midfielder Lance Madonna has been named an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention, announced Monday afternoon.
Madonna earns the honor after scoring 29 goals and dishing out 17 assists en route to being named the Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year in 2023. Madonna lead the Spiders in game-winning goals with three last season and finished second on the team in points.
Madonna has put up a 15-game scoring streak since last season, scoring at least one goal in all but one game. He finished with 12 multi-point games and recorded three or more points in 11 games in 2023 and has recorded points in 33-of-40 career games. This is the second All-American Honorable Mention honor for Madonna this preseason after he and Dalton Young earned the title from USA Lacrosse earlier this month.
Madonna and the Spiders open the 2024 season at home this Saturday, Feb. 3, against No. 5/6 Maryland at 1:00.
