Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2025 Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. – Today, the University of Richmond's women's lacrosse head coach Anne Harrington announced the 2025 schedule. The 17-game regular season features nine home games at Robins Stadium and eight road games, including one neutral site game.
"We are looking forward to a competitive regular season that will prepare us to chase our team goals," said Harrington. "With a few new opponents, we have the opportunity to be challenged in new ways and environments. Mark your calendars, we hope to see you at Robins Stadium in May when we host the A-10 tournament."
Last season, Richmond finished with a 13-6 record, winning back-to-back Atlantic 10 conference titles and a second straight NCAA tournament appearance. The Spiders finished the season at No. 25 in the IL Women/IWLCA poll.
The 2025 campaign includes exciting games against conference foes and four opponents who finished their season in the top 20 rankings
The Spiders open the season on the road meeting Penn State for the first time on February 8. Richmond then prepares for its home slate as it welcomes Queens for the home opener on February 15, Navy (February 19) and Liberty (February 22). Closing out the month, the Spiders will travel to Harrisonburg to play James Madison on February 26.
Richmond will welcome Virginia for a mid-week game on March 5 and prepare for conference play. The Spiders will open conference play at home against George Mason on March 8 and then travel to North Carolina to face Davidson on March 12. Returning to Robins Stadium, the Spiders will play La Salle on March 15.
Heading up north on March 22, Richmond will play St. Bonaventure. Playing city rival VCU, the Spiders will play the Rams on March 26 at home. At the end of March, Richmond will play Rhode Island at home on the 29th.
A rematch of the Atlantic 10 Championship game will occur as the Spiders travel to Amherst, Mass. to face UMass on April 5. Four days later, Richmond will play back-to-back road games as they take on George Washington on April 9. Duquesne will come to town to play the last home game of the regular season on April 12.
Playing at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md., the Spiders will face Villanova for the second all-time meeting. Richmond will close the regular season with a trip to Philadelphia with a match up against Saint Josephs on April 26 before hosting the A-10 Championship May 1-4.
Richmond will return seven seniors and a graduate student including Caroline Murphy, Grace Muldoon, Colleen Quinn, Hannah Custer Meaghan Trainer, Caroline Stevens, Clare McCooe and Whitney Liebler.
