Dalton Young Named to Tewaaraton Watch List

Richmond, Va. — University of Richmond attackman Dalton Young has been named one of 50 Division I men's lacrosse players to land on the 2024 Men's Tewaaraton Watch List, announced by the foundation Wednesday. The Tewaaraton Award is an annual award for the most outstanding American college lacrosse men's and women's players. It is the lacrosse equivalent of college football's Heisman Trophy.
One of the nation's most consistent scorers, Young carries a 43- game point streak and has recorded a point in 45 of 51 career games. He is one of only a handful of active players with a 40+ game point streak, having racked up 106 goals and 75 assists for 181 points over the duration of his 43-game streak. Young's goal streak is also one of the longest nationally, having tallied 63 goals over the last 27-consecutive games . Young is Richmond's second-leading all-time score and became the fastest player in program history to record 100 points, pulling off the feat in just 30 games. He currently has seven goals and five assists through the first two games.
