Knight, Creo Tabbed Atlantic 10 Players of the Week

Richmond, Va.— University of Richmond lacrosse sophomore goalie Connor Knight and freshman attackman Gavin Creo were named the Atlantic 10 Defensive and Rookie Players of the Week, respectively, announced Monday.
Making his first career start against Maryland Saturday, Knight recorded 10 saves, taking the No. 6 Terrapins to double overtime. Knight recorded two ground balls as well as a crucial save on the doorstep in the first overtime period. Creo earns the honor after recording a goal and a ground ball in his collegiate debut. Creo's tally came at the 5:16 mark of the third quarter to tie the game at 8-8.
This is the first weekly honor in the careers of Knight and Creo.
Up next, the Spiders travel to North Bethesda, Md. where they'll play a neutral site game at Georgetown Prep. Saturday, Feb. 9 at noon.
