Spiders Capture No. 1 Seed in A-10 Men’s Basketball Championship

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond is the top seed in next week's A-10 Men's Basketball Championship at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to the official bracket released by the conference Saturday at the conclusion of the regular season.
As the No. 1 seed, Richmond has a double bye into the quarterfinals. UR will open tournament play on Thursday at 11:30 AM on USA Network against the winner of Wednesday's matchup between 8 seed George Mason and 9 seed Saint Joseph's. The Spiders split a pair of regular season games vs George Mason this season and defeated Saint Joseph's 73-66 at the Robins Center on March 6.
Fans can purchase tickets for the A-10 Tournament by calling 1-877-SPIDER1 or visiting the Atlantic 10 website.
2024 is the first time the Spiders have earned the No. 1 seed in the A-10 Tournament since joining the conference in 2001. Richmond went 15-3 in conference play this season, setting a program record for conference wins in a season and capturing its first regular season A-10 title.
