Vigue Named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week for Third Time This Season

Richmond, Va. — For the third time this season, University of Richmond goalie Zach Vigue has been named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference Monday.
Vigue earns the award after recording 15 saves, a pair of ground balls and a caused turnover during Richmond's 13-4 road win over UMBC Saturday.
Vigue currently leads the country in save percentage at .660 and has helped the Spiders scoring defense to first in the nation, holding opponents to an average of 8.17 goals per game. The redshirt junior is also fifth in goals against average at 10.36.
Vigue and the Spiders face Bucknell on the road Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. before hosting No. 4 Duke at Robins Stadium Saturday at 1:00.
