Dalton Young Named Tewaaraton Award Nominee

Young earns the honor as one of the country's most consistent scorers, entering Saturday's game at UMass with 247 (140 goals, 107 assists) career points including a balanced 30 goals and 31 assists so far this season.
Young holds a 53-game point streak heading into this weekend. He has recorded a point in 55 of 61 career games and is one of only a handful of active players with a 55+ game point streak, having racked up 129 goals and 101 assists for 230 points over the duration of his 53-game streak. Young's goal streak is top five nationally, having tallied 86 goals over the last 37-consecutive games
Young is Richmond's second-leading all-time scorer and became the fastest player in program history to record 100 points, pulling off the feat in just 30 games. With his five points from the Virginia game, Young reached 203 career points and becomes just the third Spider ever to eclipse 200. Young's 244 career points rank second all-time for the Spiders and has been instrumental in helping Richmond rank in the top 10 nationally this season in categories like scoring margin (3rd, 5.83), scoring offense (8th, 14.25), shot percentage (8th, .333) and points per game (10th, 22.42).
Young currently ranks eighth in points at 247 and his 107 assists rank 10th among the NCAA's active career leaders.
