Richmond, Va.— University of Richmond freshman attackman Gavin Creo has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, announced Monday.
The Rockville Centre, N.Y. native chipped in a pair of assists during Richmond's 21-8 win over Hobart Saturday. Creo dished a pass to Dalton Young just over one and a half minutes (13:27) into the game for Richmond's second score of the day and later connected with Jack Ricciardi for another Spiders tally.
The Spiders travel south to High Point for a battle under the lights Saturday night. Opening face off is set for 7 p.m. at Vert Stadium.
