Spiders Fall Short In Atlantic 10 Title Game

Amherst, Mass. – The University of Richmond men's lacrosse team fell in the Atlantic 10 Championship game to Saint Joseph's Saturday, 17-13.
With the game tied at 11 apiece headed into the fourth quarter, Saint Joseph's rattled off six goals to Richmond's two to pull away with the win and earn the Atlantic 10's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
Aidan O'Neil led the Spiders with two goals and two assists and Lukas Olsson recorded his first career hat trick on six shots. Luke Grayum and Dalton Young (assist) recorded a pair of goals each and Lance Madonna (two assists), Braden McClure, Jared Chenoy and Lucas Littlejohn each added another.
Zach Vigue recorded 10 saves and the Spiders defense caused 11 turnovers including three from McClure and another two from Jack Fabean.
Following the game, Madonna, Olsson, Young and Hunter Smith were named the the All-Tournament Team.
