Loncarica Announces 2024 Spider Hockey Schedule

Full 2024 Schedule
RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond head coach Martu Loncarica has announced the 2024 slate for the Spider field hockey team, her first at the helm of the program. Richmond will take on non-conference foes from the BIG EAST, BIG10, MAC, CAA and the Ivy League.

UR opens the season with the first of nine home contests at Crenshaw Field Aug. 30 hosting Old Dominion. The Spiders will also host App State (Sept. 6), Temple (Sept. 8), and Ohio State (Sept. 13). Early non-conference road games include William & Mary (Sept. 1) and Longwood (Sept. 15) before the Spiders open Atlantic 10 Conference action at Saint Louis (Sept. 20). Â Richmond closes out September hosting Davidson (Sept. 27) and Towson.

In October, A-10 action returns Friday nights to Crenshaw Field. UR will host La Salle (Oct. 4) and Massachusetts (Oct. 25) while heading to north to Pennsylvania to face Lock Haven (Oct. 11) and reining A-10 Champion Saint Joseph's (Oct. 18). The Spiders will wrap up non-conference action on the road against James Madison (Oct. 6), Penn (Oct. 20) and Maryland (Oct. 27) with a home contest against Georgetown (Oct. 13).

Richmond will wrap up the regular season against crosstown rival VCU (Nov. 1) at Cary Street Field. 2024 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, hosted by Saint Joseph's at Ellen Ryan Field, will begin with semifinal contests Thursday, Nov. 7 and the championship game Saturday, Nov. 9.
