
Vigue Named USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America Honorable Mention

Last season, the Apex, N.C. native was named Atlantic 10 Co-Goalkeeper of the Year and earned Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention honors. He started 15 games, recording 159 saves on 507 shots faced, with a career-high .556 save percentage. Vigue ranked third in the nation in goals against average (9.26) and played a key role in Richmond's defense, which was the third-best in the country, allowing just 9.38 goals per game. He finished 12th nationally and first in the A-10 in save percentage, while also picking up 31 ground balls and causing three turnovers. Additionally, he was named an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American Honorable Mention and earned Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week honors three times.
In total, 89 players from 32 teams were honored as a Preseason All-Americans. Two-time defending champion and preseason No. 1 Notre Dame paces the nation with nine All-Americans, including four on the first team. Preseason All-Americans are compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with consultation from college coaches.
Vigue and the rest of the Spiders get the season underway Feb. 1 at preseason No. 5 Maryland before opening the home slate Feb. 8 against Robert Morris.
