Larripa Collects Back-to-Back A-10 Offensive Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON, DC – Richmond's Clara Larripa was named Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for a second straight week, the league office announced Monday. This is Spider field hockey's sixth weekly honor of the season.
Larripa led the Spiders with two goals on five shots on goal in road victories over Davidson and Queens. She tallied the first goal against the Wildcats (Oct. 13) in the 18th minute to tie the game at 1-all, scoring her 11th goal of the season on the Spiders penalty corner play with help from Lillian Buckwalter as the stick stopper and Alexa Derr on the insert.
Against Queens (Oct. 12), Larripa matched her 2023 and 2024 season scoring totals with a goal in the 19th minute, diving to connect with a pass from Lainey Nichols for her 12th goal of the season.
On the season, Larripa leads the team and is second in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 29 points on 12 goals and five assists.
Richmond, 8-5 on the season and 3-1 in A-10 action, will host Saint Joseph's, 7-6 on the year and 2-1 in league play, Friday, Oct. 13 in A-10 action with a 5 p.m. contest at Crenshaw Field to kick off the 2025 University of Richmond Homecoming weekend festivities. The event is free to attend and will be streamed on ESPN+ and internationally on the Atlantic 10 Network.
