Six Spiders Collect Atlantic 10 All-Conference Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond field hockey program had six student-athletes collect 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Conference accolades, the league announced Wednesday, prior to the start of the championship at UR's Crenshaw Field Thursday.
Clara Larripa and Valen Luna Paratore were First Team selections, while Jess McMeeking and Alexa Derr were named to the Second Team. Amy Stripling and Reese Miller were named to the All-Rookie Team, while Larripa also landed on the league's All-Academic team.
Larripa collected her third-straight first team honors and second-straight academic accolades. She was also a preseason A-10 and NFHCA Division I Watchlist honoree. The Buenos Aires native finished the season with a career-high 17 goals and eight assists for 42 points to lead the Spiders. Larripa tallied points in all six conference games for Richmond, scored or assisted on overtime game-winning goals against La Salle and VCU, and scored the game winner against Saint Joseph's.
Luna Paratore, also a native of Buenos Aires, finished the season with 12 points on five goals and two assists in 13 games. A 2025 preseason All-Conference and NFHCA Division I Watchlist honoree, she scored the insurance goal against Saint Joseph's and put away goals against nationally ranked Liberty and North Carolina. Luna Paratore also scored the double overtime game winning goal against VCU to secure a share of the regular season championship and number one tournament seed.
McMeeking, a team captain, started in all 18 regular season contests as a midfielder and was an integral part of the attacking penalty corner unit. Collecting her first conference honors, the senior scored the Spiders first goal of the season in a victory over Longwood. McMeeking also tallied assists against James Madison, Lock Haven and Ball State and scored against American.
Derr, a senior defender, was a vital member of the defensive line and both sides of the penalty corner units. In a breakout season, Derr finished the season with 12 points on eight assists and two goals. She assisted on goals in conference matches against La Salle, Saint Louis and Davidson and had a career high four-point game with two goals against Lock Haven.
Stripling finished her first season with 11 points on five goals and an assist. The two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week honoree scored the game winning goals against Old Dominion and Lock Haven. She also tallied goals on strokes against nationally ranked Liberty and at Temple.
Miller completed her rookie season with six points on two goals and two assists over 13 games. She tallied her first career points on an assist for the game winning goal against Old Dominion. She scored her first collegiate goal in double overtime against Davidson.
