Larripa Named to NFHCA All South Region First Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond field hockey's Clara Larripa was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All South Region First Team presented by Apex Field Hockey, the group announced Wednesday. Larripa is one of 160 student-athletes named to five all- region teams.
Larripa, collecting her third All-Region honor of her career, had a standout season for the Spiders. The Buenos Aires native finished the season with 48 points on a career-high 20 goals and eight assists to lead the Spiders to the program's first Atlantic 10 Conference regular season title since 2015. Larripa tallied a hat trick in the A-10 Semifinals against Davidson to advance to the A-10 Championship contest since 2019 and earned All-Championship Team accolades.
Larripa finished the season ranked in the top-10 in the country averaging 1.00 goal per game and 2.40 points per game.
In the regular season, Larripa tallied points in all six conference games for Richmond, scoring or assisting on overtime game-winning goals against La Salle and VCU, and scoring the game winner against Saint Joseph's.
Larripa also collected her third-straight Atlantic 10 First Team honors and second-straight A-10 All-Academic accolades. She was also a preseason A-10 Team and NFHCA Division I Watchlist honoree.
