The Spiders are poised for even greater success following a historic 2025 season that featured a 14–3 overall record, a perfect 5–0 run in Atlantic 10 play to secure the program's first regular-season title, and its second conference tournament championship in three years. Richmond also earned its first NCAA Tournament win with a 13–10 victory over No. 8 North Carolina in Chapel Hill and climbed as high as No. 5 in the national rankings—the highest mark in program history.

Lacrosse Announces 2026 Schedule, Season Ticket Renewals Now Live
12/08/2025 | Men's Lacrosse
Richmond, Va. – Head Coach Dan Chemotti and the University of Richmond men's lacrosse team announced their 2026 schedule Monday.
Coming off its best season in program history, the Spiders enter 2026 with momentum from a landmark 2025 campaign that featured the program's first NCAA Tournament victory. Richmond produced a program-record eight All-Americans last season, including four returners who will serve as the 2026 team captains: attackman Aidan O'Neil, midfielder Joe Sheridan, short-stick defensive midfielder Jack Pilling and close defenseman Hunter Smith.
Season ticket renewals are now live. Season ticket holders can log in here to renew their seats for the 2026 season. The deadline to renew is Jan. 8, after which single game tickets will go live for the season.
Highlights of the 2026 schedule include:
• Nine home games at Robins Stadium, including seven of the first eight contests
• A road matchup against 2025 National Champion Cornell, following two one-goal battles last season, including in the NCAA Quarterfinals
• Games against perennial powers, including four opponents ranked in the final 2025 polls
• A full Atlantic 10 slate, now featuring new member Delaware
• A late-season non-conference matchup against Notre Dame, played in Chicago at Northwestern's Martin Stadium on the shore of Lake Michigan
• Games against three teams that reached the 2025 NCAA Quarterfinals, plus two games against teams that advanced to the 2025 National Championship
• The 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Championship, hosted by Richmond
The season begins earlier than ever before as the Spiders play the program's first January game when national runner-up Maryland visits Robins Stadium on Jan. 31. The teams have opened against each other for the past three seasons, and three of the five all-time meetings between the teams have been decided by a single goal as Richmond continues its pursuit of its first win over the Terrapins.
On Feb. 7, Richmond hosts Robert Morris, a team the Spiders have outscored 40–20 across their two meetings over the last two seasons.
Virginia comes to Richmond on Feb. 14. The Spiders defeated the Cavaliers last year in Charlottesville when Virginia was ranked seventh, earning a 13–10 win — just the second victory over UVA in program history and the first on the road.
Richmond faces former Southern Conference opponent Mercer on Feb. 16 in a rare Monday game. The teams have met 10 times, most recently in 2023, with Richmond's only loss against the Bears coming during its inaugural 2014 season.
Lehigh visits Robins Stadium on Feb. 21. The programs have met only once before, when Richmond gutted out a 9–8 road win last season in Bethlehem, Pa.
On Feb. 28, the Spiders travel to Cornell to meet the 2025 National Champion Big Red in a rematch of two one-goal losses from 2025 — a 12–11 game at home followed by a 13–12 battle in the NCAA Quarterfinals played at Hofstra. Last season's matchups were the first-ever between the programs.
Georgetown comes to campus on March 7. The Spiders and Hoyas have met four times, with the 2025 meeting marking Richmond's first win in the series — a 13–12 victory in Washington, D.C.
Atlantic 10 play begins March 14 when Richmond hosts the conference's newest member, Delaware. Formerly of the CAA, the Blue Hens reached the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
Richmond's second road game of the season comes on March 21 at UMass. The Spiders and Minutemen have met five times, all as A-10 opponents, with Richmond winning every matchup. The teams most recently met in last year's A-10 semifinal, where the Spiders won 14–5.
Hobart comes to Richmond on March 28. The Spiders are 3–0 all-time against the Statesmen.
April 4 takes the team to Chicago to face another 2025 NCAA Quarterfinalist, Notre Dame. The game, played at Northwestern, serves as Richmond's final non-conference contest and features the only two 2025 NCAA Tournament teams that ranked in the national top 10 in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
Richmond returns to New York on April 11 to face St. Bonaventure, a team it has outscored 84–26 across four meetings.
Saint Joseph's visits Robins Stadium on April 18. Last season, the Spiders secured their first-ever A-10 regular-season title with a 10–7 win over the 17th-ranked Hawks in Philadelphia, giving Richmond its first season with four wins over ranked opponents.
High Point, Richmond's most-played opponent, hosts the Spiders for the final conference game of the season on Friday, April 24. Richmond is 15–4 against its longtime rival.
Robins Stadium then hosts the Atlantic 10 Championship, with semifinals on April 30 and the championship on May 2. Richmond won the inaugural A-10 men's lacrosse tournament the last time it hosted in 2023.
Richmond also set a program record with a nine-game winning streak and defeated four ranked opponents: No. 7 Virginia, No. 13 Georgetown, No. 19 UMass, and No. 17 Saint Joseph's. Its only loss by more than one goal came in the season opener at Maryland. The Spiders also dropped two one-goal games to Cornell and pushed Duke to double overtime, solidifying their place among the nation's elite.
Richmond finished the season ranked second nationally in scoring margin, third in scoring defense, fourth in caused turnovers per game, eighth in clearing percentage, ninth in scoring offense, and 11th in points per game — a testament to its balance and consistency.
In just 12 seasons, Richmond has reached 11 consecutive conference championship games, every year except 2020 when no tournament was held.
Due to inclement weather in the area, the UR Ticket Office is closed on Monday, Dec. 8 and will reopen as normal on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
