Vigue Tabbed Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Richmond, Va. – University of Richmond men's lacrosse graduate goalie Zach Vigue has been named the Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week following his standout performance in Saturday's 17-2 win over Robert Morris.

Vigue made nine saves on 17 shots faced for a .889 save percentage in 53:44 of play in Richmond's first win of the season. He didn't allow a goal until 6:21 in the third quarter and conceded just one of the two goals scored against Richmond. The two goals allowed matched the program's lowest goal total, previously set against St. John's in 2024. Vigue also led the Spiders in ground balls, recording five.

This marks the second week in a row the Spiders have earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, with close defenseman Hunter Smith taking home the award last week. Up next, Vigue and the rest of the Spiders head to Virginia where they'll meet the No. 7 Cavaliers at 11:30 at Klöckner Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 15.
