Bond, Brandolini, Maine to Receive Athletics Alumni Awards Saturday

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Athletics will present its annual alumni honors to Gregg Bond, '86, Alexis Brandolini, '01, and Dalton Maine, '94 Saturday in an afternoon ceremony in the Alice Haynes Room in Tyler Haynes Commons. The trio will also be recognized during Saturday evening's men's basketball home game vs Fordham.
Brandolini and Maine will receive the Alumni Achievement Award, presented annually to one alumnus and one alumna of the University of Richmond for their professional achievements and adherence to the highest values of Spider Athletics.
Bond will receive the Alumni Appreciation Award for his continued contributions to Richmond Athletics. He is a co-founder of The Spiders' Collective and has spent the last three years serving on a volunteer basis as a board member of the organization, which has been instrumental in allowing UR to attract and retain elite student-athletes. Professionally, Bond has spent more than 30 years as a sales executive with different high-tech firms following a sports media career that saw him rise to weekend sports anchor at Channel 6 WTVR-TV in Richmond. Bond graduated from Richmond in 1986 with a degree in Journalism. He worked for both The Collegian and the Athletics Communications office as a student.
Brandolini was a two-time team captain of the women's lacrosse team during her time at Richmond. Following her graduation from the Robins Schools of Business with a Marketing concentration, she earned a Master's degree from the VCU Brand Center. She is the co-founder of the Alpha Echo Project, a leadership development training company combining the military training of her co-founder with her own athletic experiences to train teams and organizations. Brandolini owns her own consulting practice, The Brandolini Group, and is a co-founder of EZ Squeezees refillable food pouches. She has remained involved in athletics through coaching and her role as the Director of Strategy for Shootout for Soldiers, a 24-hour lacrosse game benefiting American veterans.
Maine was a three-year starting pitcher for Spider baseball who left Richmond among the program's career leaders in shutouts, complete games, ERA, and innings pitched. Following a decorated minor league career with the Baltimore Orioles, he earned an Master's of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago and joined Bain and Company, where he currently serves as Partner, Head of Americas Energy and Natural Resources and Global Agribusiness. At Richmond, Maine was a member fo both Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa and earned the Clarence J. Gray Award.
